Anadol-50 – Oxymetholone – the most potent anabolic steroid!

Oxymetholone, more commonly called Anadol-50, is without doubt the strongest anabolic steroid currently available. It has developed a great reputation for acting very rapidly and promoting huge gains in most muscle mass. Bodybuilders routinely report gains of 10 to 12 pounds in as little as 2 weeks. The reason for this is because Anadrol-50 has very high anabolic properties and moderate to low androgenic properties. It’s because of the moderate androgenic properties that some of the weight gained while on the drug comes in the form of water retention and fat. For this reason bodybuilders only use the drug at the beginning of a mass-building cycle. The drugs fat-promoting and water retention properties make a poor pre-contest drug.

As an oral anabolic steroid, Anadrol-50 has been chemically modified at the 17^th carbon position with a methyl group to reduce deactivation by the liver and digestive system. It’s because of such chemical modification that it has a high degree of liver toxicity (called hepatoxicity) and should not be used in cycles lasting more than 6 weeks. It is also highly recommended that users get their liver enzyme values checked on a regular basis.

Unlike many oral steroids, Anadrol-50 has good lasting power in the body (called half-life) and therefore good results can be achieved with a single daily dose. This means that it is not necessary to spread the dosage out over the day. A single 50 to 100 mgs dosage will work for most individuals. Of course many bodybuilders throw caution to the wind and take far more than this. Because of its fast action and high liver toxicity, most bodybuilders use it to “kickstart” a longer cycle using injectables. They’d take both drugs for the first 4 to 6 weeks and then only use the Injectable for the remaining 4 to 6 weeks. The primary reason for such a pattern of usage is because injectables take a couple of weeks to start producing results whereas Anadrol-50 starts promoting mass gains within days.

Most of the legitimate oxymetholone products were discontinued in the early 1990's because of the high rate of side-effects. But the drug’s effectiveness in combating the wasting characteristics of AIDS stimulated a renewed interest in producing the drug. Even though the original Anadrol-50 by Syntex is no longer made or found, there has been an explosion in underground versions of the drug.

Given that Anadrol-50 is one of, if not these harshest anabolic steroids to use, you should seriously consider giving it a pass. An extra few inches on your chest is not worth the risk of liver disease down the road. Instead check out the legal steroid alternatives that are available. These revolutionary new compounds are reported to be nearly as effective as steroids without the risk of liver damage. They’re also legal (as opposed to steroids which since 1991 have been controlled substances).
